Bellini Modern Living, a leading distributor of modern Italian-made furniture, is heading into Spring Market in High Point with new upholstered collections emphasizing the luxurious feel of Novabuk, a high-quality microfiber imported from Italy. The company is also adding a new accent pillow program in Novabuk, designed to coordinate with its motion and stationary designs and add a playful pop of color to retail floors.
“We’re seeing a gap in the domestic market and sensing a hunger for something really different this season,” said Hossein Azimi, chief executive officer of Bellini Modern Living. “We believe the moment is right to introduce Novabuk, which has been making news at the winter markets across Europe and Italy, because the microfiber offers the opulent look and feel of suede combined with the practicality and durability of a performance fabric.”
Inside its showroom at IHFC H520, Bellini will show two new sofa groups covered in Novabuk and two new accent chairs. The Camilla II is a contemporary power motion sofa with dual recline and power adjustable headrests and footrests, while the Ariano is a stationary, clean-lined off-the-floor silhouette set atop slender, polished metal legs. Both sofa groups will be shown and stocked in a soft dove gray, and available for special order in a choice of 18 on-trend fashion-colors.
“No fabric can take saturated color quite like this heavy-bodied microfiber,” Azimi said. “For that reason, we’re also showing two new accent chairs—the Milo, a swivel, and the stationary Fabio—covered in Novabuk in show-stopping shades of yellow, blue and orange.”
To complement the new upholstered designs, along with all of Bellini’s leather upholstered groups, the company is also unveiling an accent pillow program for the first time. Covered in Novabuk, the down-filled pillows are available in a veritable rainbow of colors, and generously sized at 20-inches by 20-inches to underscore the ultra-luxe feel of the microfiber.
“Our goal with our new pillow program is to help retailers easily spice up their floors with bright pops of color and enable RSA’s to just as easily upsell their customers. In an array of gorgeous colors, these pillows are designed to go with everything and provide furniture retailers with much-needed impulse items to excite shoppers. This is a quick and inexpensive refresh that will make any department look new and up-to-the-moment in terms of fashion, and we’ll demonstrate just how to do it in our own showroom. And of course, the pillows allow shoppers who may be reticent to commit to all-over, high-fashion colors on their sofas, to have fun and experiment.”
